VEHICULAR OIL DISPOSAL AT KOKOMPE

A visit to Kokompe to speak to some mechanics on how they dispose oil.

It was on Sunday 12/6/24 and i wanted to speak to some mechanics on how they dispose vehicular oil. On searching I met one David at Fords Shop who is an automechanic and also an electrical expert. When I got there i noticed that the ground looks dark in colour. Upon enquiry it’s some of the engine oils which oevrflows when they are pouring it in the the gallon. He also told me that some mechanical shops pour the engine oil in gutters so as to ward off mosquitoes but at Fords shop they don’t dispose the waste oil in such manner. So i enquired about how he disposes the waste engine oil and he told me that there are some small gallons. I was curious to find out more and he showed me some bottles and gallons packed in the owner of the shop. He usually pours the waste oils in the containers before giving it to the collectors. He highlighted the benefit of changing the engine oils when the time is due and that is it enables the car in general to work efficiently.
