GREATER ACCRA COMBATS IMPROPER DISPOSAL OF VEHICULAR OIL

In a proactive move to protect the environment and prevent pollution, the Greater Accra region has launched a campaign to promote the safe disposal of used vehicle oil. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the proper methods of handling and recycling vehicular oil to safeguard our surroundings. Statistics from environmental agencies reveal the alarming impact of improper oil disposal on our ecosystem. Just one gallon of motor oil can contaminate a staggering one million gallons of water, emphasizing the critical need for responsible disposal practices. As part of the campaign, designated collection centers and recycling facilities have been set up across the region to encourage residents to dispose of their used oil safely. Additionally, auto parts stores and service stations are joining the cause by accepting used oil for recycling, making it convenient for the community to participate in this eco-friendly effort. By educating the public on the importance of proper oil disposal and providing accessible recycling options, the Greater Accra region is taking a significant step towards a cleaner and healthier environment for all its residents. This campaign not only promotes environmental sustainability but also fosters a sense of community responsibility in preserving our natural resources. The Greater Accra region's commitment to promoting the safety disposal of used vehicle oil sets a positive example for communities everywhere, demonstrating that small actions can lead to significant environmental impact.
