Scene 7: narrative on causes of spillage at the
shops
This is the cause. The basins we use sometimes
might be small, and due to the kind of oil that is inside the car, it will
overflow. And there is nothing we can do because, in most of the fitting shops,
it is one. We don’t have two. So when we buy, we need to buy the smaller one,
because we still have to be under the car to gauge it. Sometimes, it is going
to overflow, or sometimes, due to we dragging it up and down, the leakage is
going to come from under. [13.71s]
Scene 8: displays a text of the resultant effects to the causes as
explained in the previous scenes, accompanied by an oil spill scene in an

Scene 9: narrative by EPA official
If it ends up in the environment it creates
a lot of problems for the aquatic life. So, you are not allowed by law to even
discharge it into the environment. [9.71s]
Scene 10: narrative on some
solutions to the menace
Expert 1: in terms of oil spillage in my
field, which is mechanical engineering, oil spillage cannot be avoided, but it
can be prevented. When you come to the local dialect language, Ga, we have something
called “shoolo” which is saw dust.it can be used on the ground whenever there
is spillage going on. We can recycle it in that form.
Scene 11: so if the government can assist us with
some of these advanced ways, whereby you plug in a pipe and it drains off the
oils without you seeing it… that’s what we see in all these Hyundai Companies,
where we go for internship. [34.37s]
Scene 12: narrative by EPA official
There are always facilities that are
dedicated for the collection of storage vehicular oil. And there are companies
that are licensed by EPA to go round and collect those oils and then convert
them into forms that can be used. [16.6s]
Scene 13: narrative by an automotive
engineer
So at Peacemaker Auto Consult, we don’t dispose
off our oils anyhow. Like pouring them in the gutters or anywhere. We have
gallons where we fill them. [15.49s]
Scene 14: a demonstration on how to store spent vehicular oil for sale. [5s]
Scene 15: narrative by a vulcanizer

Scene 16: text display of what other
uses of spent vehicular oil to vulcanizer’s narration.
I’m also into the “okada” business in addition
to vulcanizing, so in their absence, I use it. I apply spent vehicular oil
around tyres to prevent aeration around the rim. [27.42s]
Scene 17: a text display of advocacy and
awareness creation on spent vehicular oil. [6.0s]
Scene 18: an advocacy narrative

Each and everyone of Ghanaian. Because,
environmental is not a preserve for one person. It’s a collective thing

environment, so that we can have the globe as a conducive place to live.
